When res­i­dent Bill Hur­ley noticed Smith Cross­ing employ­ees study­ing for col­lege, it remind­ed him of his own days bal­anc­ing work and edu­ca­tion, and sparked an idea to sup­port com­mu­ni­ty employ­ees pur­su­ing their degree.
